It is do-able from Sheffield but starting to push the limits of how far I'll go. Like Yith, depends on date, site, type of game etc.

According to google maps, it is still quicker to get to than Gunmans Norwich site though :)

Cheers

Seems to be a German invasion on the south west, think i'll have to rally up some troops to counter this gerry threat

Missed this post, would definitely be interested as not to far down the road for me.

Could play either German or US whatever was needed.

How are things coming along with this anyway?

Cheers

Not a great deal of news i'm afraid. The site is still being built up and has yet to open. I've been helping out with some building work, but sadly with time constraints and the rush to open a lot of the areas are using pallets and tyres. I know that'll spoil the immersion for us WW2 players but i completely understand the choices that the site has to make. There are still large areas of the site which could be used, and i've been building a trench system using logs and sandbags so theres still the potential for small one day games. As it stands the site owners are happy for us to have the site to ourselves on occassion, and that'll give local players at the least a chance to kit up and play a bit more WW2 airsoft a few more times a year. I'm happy with the potential, it won't be large scale, but at least it's an option that wasn't there before.

Also another bit of good news is that overnight camping will be allowed :)

Hey man!! Guys.

Got so excited when I saw this.
I've lived in Taunton for 8 years. I'm at Bournemouth now but Travel back to T-Town every 2 weeks.
I'm also based in Sherborne near the guy who lives in Yeovil!

Basically this is a great thing to hear and would try to go as often as possible.
I have Brit uniform so can support the allies! :good: and send the Jerries packing.

Fantastic news again.
Maybe I could help out one day on the site and get your trench system going?

PM with any news
Keep us up to date :happyclap:

Posted on facebook that there is a new site opening for airsoft around taunton, real close. Quite a lot of people liked it. They may not be ww2 airsofters or airsofters at all but there are a few people who want to start but everything is just so far away. thought i'd let you know.

I can't find that facebook page mate.
I'm now fully living and working in Yeovil so once I've sorted some kit I can be at a game on a weekend. WW2 or Modern, I don't mind :good:

I had heard of problems with the site owner, hadn't heard anything else. Hopeful this will be sorted soon.
